Senior Tax Manager

MS&T has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Tax Manager. We offer a competitive salary and a commitment to providing a great work-life balance with the opportunity for equity partnership. The position includes working closely with business and individual clients on tax compliance, including tax planning and general business consulting. You should be able to handle multiple engagements and maintain client relationships by delivering an excellent level of professional service. Your role would be focused predominantly on applying tax knowledge and understanding tax issues; meeting with clients and gathering information necessary for filing; providing tax planning and general business consulting; reviewing tax returns; preparing complex returns; and assisting, mentoring and managing junior staff. There is a strong focus on recognizing tax planning strategies and communicating with clients to help their businesses succeed. Qualified applicants must have seven or more years of public accounting tax experience.

Senior Accountant

The position includes assisting our team in maintaining client relationships and delivering an excellent level of service in providing both assurance and tax services. Applicants must have the ability to support client recordkeeping and answer client questions utilizing various accounting software, including QuickBooks. This role prepares more complicated tax returns for our individual, partnership, corporate, estate, trusts, and small business clients and performs more detail reviews on the simpler individual, corporate, partnership, and S-Corp tax returns. The position also requires the ability to assist with financial statement engagements including audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed upon procedures, with minimal supervision. The candidate should be able to handle multiple engagements and maintain client relationships. The candidate should have more than three years of public accounting experience, with a preference for those candidates who have completed the CPA exam.

Tax Intern

Duties will include tax preparation, tax administrative, and various other duties related to accounting and tax compliance. Intern will primarily assist with individual tax preparation, but position may allow for some exposure to corporate tax and accounting. Applicants should be seeking an accounting degree and have already taken an individual income tax course. Position is intended to be full-time but we are willing to consider part-time applicants and flexible schedules to accommodate student course load. The position runs February 1st through April 15.
